[Buryat sections of] Bo# & Bo:n, Appendix : Pantheon of 99 Tengeri
{with these 99, cf. "Uran.a, displaying nine and ninety arms" (R.c Veda, 2nd as.t.aka, 6th adhyaya, 4th r.c – R-V-S, vol. 2, p. 243)}{"Uran.a is probably from urn.a "to cover" (I-AD&W, p. 451). The word /urn.a/ is cognate with /urn/ : cf. the Ugaritic word for ‘pot’ which is cognate with the term translated ‘firmament’ in B-Re>s^it 1:6-8.}
{As ‘ram’ (ChGW, vol. 2, p. 180), Uran.a slain by Indra may be the ram immolated by Iason to Hekate (cited in Bo# and Bo:n, p. 684), who was evoked out of (O:M 10:403) Erebos : the name of /EReBos/ is cognate with that of /ARBuda/, who is mentioned immediately after Uran.a in the same stanza of the R.c Veda.}
